During 30 years, the ensemble discovered so much new music that they decided in 2020 to release a CD with exclusively Belgian repertoire. The recording took place a year later and in 2022 the CD was presented to the public. “Belgian Chocolates” was born.
This CD is a tribute to all Belgian composers who enjoyed worldwide fame with their light classical music during the Art Deco period. A genre that has its origins in the classical salon music of the 19th century and was extremely popular and appreciated not only in our region, but also far beyond our borders. However, this enormous repertoire has unjustly fallen into oblivion.
