
She began her musical studies at the academy of Izegem. In 2003, she graduated with great distinction with a Master’s degree in Music from the Conservatory of Antwerp in the cello class of Jaap Kruithof. As an Erasmus student, she studied at the Musikhochschule in Leipzig with Prof. M. Moosdorf. In 2005, she graduated in baroque cello from the Conservatory of Brussels with Alain Gervreau. Additionally, she attended masterclasses in cello and chamber music with Klaus Heitz, Roel Dieltiens, Anner Bijlsma, and the Alban Berg Quartet. Tine was awarded the Jong Tenuto laureate in 1996.
She is a highly sought-after soloist, orchestral, and continuo player with various ensembles and orchestras both nationally and internationally. She is the principal cellist with Anima Eterna Brugge and performs with Insula Orchestra (FR), Bachplus, Il Gardellino, Le Concert d’Anvers, Capriola di Gioia, and Euterpe Baroque Consort. She also collaborates with groups such as Apotheosis, Ex Tempore, Il Fondamento, the Flemish Radio Choir, and Les Siècles. With these ensembles, she participates in CD and radio recordings and frequently performs at events such as the Handel Festspiele, Klara festivals, the London Handel Festival, and the Utrecht Early Music Festival.
In 2020, she co-founded the string quintet Penta with colleagues from Anima Eterna. They present the rich classical and romantic repertoire written for this formation with 2 violas, drawing on their expertise in historical performance practice.
She also performs on the modern cello. Recently, she recorded music for cello, harmonium, and keyboard with Joris Verdin and Marie-Noëlle Bette. She regularly acts as a substitute player with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen.
As a teacher, she is associated with De Kunstbrug in Gentbrugge.
